dating: 19th Century provenance: Borneo, Long and heavy, curved, single-edged blade of triangular section. Wooden hilt with two-pointed angled pommel with remains of fiber wire binding. Long brass ring-nut with disc-shaped quillon. Wooden scabbard partially engraved with geometric motifs, the two halves held by metal-foil bands. A pierced hilt decorated with horsehair on one side, complete with suspension rope. length 96.5 cm.
