dating: First half of the 19th Century provenance: Giava, Slightly curved, single-edged blade made of pamor, with groove neaar the back. Horn hilt (cracks) with pommel finely carved as a dragon's head. Wooden scabbard with hood made of a different wood and white metal bands, a braided cap underneath. Missing cap. An interesting weapon probably coming from the period of the Anglo-Dutch war for Java in 1811, won by the British army. length 68.2 cm.
