Made of shakudo with a surface made of perfect nanako, typical of the Goto school, engraved in takabori iroe, one of the school's favourite subjects, a bouquet of flowers including a gold and shakudo kiku (chrysanthemum), the details underlined with fine ke-bori engravings. Finished, gilded back. Late Edo period, circa 1850. In Kiri-box. The NBTHK certificate attributes the work to an artist of the Waki Goto school, which is one of the collateral schools of the main Goto line. Perfect conservation.
