Large, slightly curved blade, with fuller on the right side and flat base, tang marked '1818-1901' and 'HOFARMEE-WAFFENFABRIK CARL GRASSER WIEN', on the other side 'WEYERSBERG & Co. SOLINGEN'; iron hilt with large knuckle guard, richly pierced with effigy of St. George and the dragon among vine-shoots, signed 'CARL GASSER WAFFENFABRIKANT WIEN'; grooved cap; wooden grip covered with fish skin and metal wire binding. Complete with scabbard. In patina, needs cleaning.
