dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: Russian Empire, Curved, single-edged blade with wide fuller and short tang. Gilt brass hilt (75 percent) with hexagonal langets, quillon bending toward the blade and curl-shaped ends, three loop-guards and long, smooth cap with large button; leather-covered wooden grip and metal wire binding. Leather scabbard with brass mounts with 50 percent gilding. Rare saber of the Crimean War time. length 87.5 cm.
