dating: 1744 provenance: Hungary, Half-width blade, curved, single-and-false-edged blade, with central fuller then doubling, the base engraved with Hungarian coat of arms with motto 'Soli deo gloria' between curls, on the other side pandur and motto 'Vincere aut mori' also between curls, the back marked 'W. neustatt year 1744.' Brass hilt with remains of the original gilding, with langets, long cap stopped at the base with an engraved oval rivet and with leather-covered wooden grip with the same rivets and without wire binding. The cap of the button is missing. Original leather-covered wooden scabbard with three brass mounts with remains of gilding, two suspension rings. In patina. length 100.5 cm.
