dating: third quarter of the 19th Century provenance: Italy, Faceted, 9 mm cal. barrel, with tubular magazine, marked among floral motifs 'VENDITTI & C.I LANCUSI', pitting; brass silver-plated frame engraved with floral motifs (missing parts) with iron side plates also decorated with floral engravings; trigger guard with ring-shaped lever; grip with checkered walnut grips; butt-plate with ring. Working mechanisms. Rare. Pietro Antonio Venditti, Torre Annunziata and Napoli, 1828 - 1878. After being released from hard labor, as he had been convicted for murder, he starts his own activity in Torre Annunziata; after many patents, he realizes and patents his famous repeating pistol, made for ten and even twenty-six shots.
