dating: Period (1603-1867) provenance: Japan, Both in shakudo. Mokko-gata, taka-bori on a nanako background, gold and silver iore-taka-zogan, aokin and shakudo depicting dragonflies, insects and floral motifs. Kozuka hitsu-ana, kogai hitsu-ana with golden ategane. Kaku-mimi-koniku. Late Edo period, 1800 circa. Illustrated and described in Japanese, English and German in 'Tsuba' by Günther Heckmann, H.U.B. Verlag Nürtingen, 1995. No. T40. dimensions 8.2 x 7.3 x 0.48 e 7.8 x 7.3 x 0.48 cm.
