dating: 18th Century provenance: Germany or Austria, Octagonal, rifled, 14 mm cal. barrel (clean bore, clearly visible rifling), signed and decorated at the base in gold 'Jos. Saintman' (from a later period?), double rear sight and foresight; tang with 'AK' monogram under crown in bas-relief on a granulated background. Flintlock marked 'Josit Shan' (?) and finely carved with a woman and a girl, the screw of the cock with a flower. Wooden full stock, partially carved with floral motifs, with smooth brass mounts. Wooden trigger guard. Set trigger. Brass-tipped wooden ramrod. length 105 cm.
