dating: Period (1603-1867) provenance: Japan, Wooden blade and habaki. All mounts, menuki apart, decorated with waves and with interesting, round, iron tsuba completely carved with small brass dots, silver fuchi-kashira-mei, beautiful gold menuki, dark blue silk tsuka. Wooden saya lacquered in two colors, the upper part red-lacquered with grooves, the lower part smooth and black-lacquered. Fine silver kurigata en suite with fuchi-kashira and kojiri. With polychrome fabric case. length total closed 68.5 cm.
