dating: about 1880 provenance: France, Rifled, round, 11 mm cal. barrel with slightly enlarged base and foresight; smooth, six-shot cylinder and serial number '1978'. Smooth frame marked 'PERRIN & C.IE B.TE', 'PARIS' and 'L' under the crown; loading gate. Wooden butt, butt-plate with suspension ring. This weapon was also used by the Dragoons of the Papal States - no other serial numbers above 2500 are known. length 31 cm.
