Straight, triangular-shaped blade withgrooved sides; etched with typical Neapolitan motifs; in a cartouche, the motto in cursive script: ‘Ne me tirez pas sans raison / Ne me remettez pas sans Honneur’. Gilded brass hilt featuring a female figure amidst trophies of arms. Guard decorated with a lion at the top. Handle with mother-of-pearl grips adorned with wire binding. Lobed pommel with a warrior’s head in relief. Leather scabbard with mounts en suite.
