Round, rifled, 12 mm cal. barrel (bore with slight pitting and visible rifling) octagonal at the base marked with a papal mark, the mark of the Liegi test bench, the serial number “29xx,” and other marks; slightly further, there is the inscription “E. M. & L. NAGANT A LIEGE”; provided with foresight, clutch for the bayonet, foldaway and adjustable rear sight. Frame marked “BREVET REMINGTON,” various marks including “Y,” “O,” and “S” under crown, serial number matching the barrel. Rolling block bolt featuring marks and a serial number also matching the barrel. Working mechanism. Wooden butt and forend (forend with a long crack); the stamp “CATHOLIQUES BELGES” with date “1868” is still visible on the right side of the butt stock. Iron mounts and ramrod. With a yatagan bayonet with iron scabbard.
