Elegant, smoothbore, two-stage, 14 mm cal. barrels, square and round, with smooth and beaded rings at the girdle; the powder chambers with silver-inlaid decorations with floral motifs; tangs with defined borders and floral motifs. Flintlock with round lock plates; the ends with engraved flower, in the centre the signature “D. De. Orazio” in cursive. Wooden, full stocks with magnificent steel and silver mounts; the steel parts, as well as the trigger guard, butt-plate, and counterplate, with simple engravings of plant motifs, particularly the butt-plates of elliptical shape with a gilded metal element at the top; the silver elements are found mainly on the upper part of the butt, between the tangs two beautiful sea serpents, on the back a frame with elliptical medallion, this featuring an engraved house with a palm tree; just before the horn muzzle ring, on both sides, two additional silver flower mounts; some missing parts. Light-colored horn-tipped wooden ramrods. Excellent quality.
