Large curved blade, with fuller along most of its length, featuring slight remains of a motto on the right side (probably: “VIVE LE ROY DE SARDAIGNE”), remains of the crowned Savoy eagle on the opposite side and few remains of other decorations (no longer legible). Brass mounts with stirrup guard. Brown wood or dark horn handle (cracks), worked with knurled sections. Beautiful long brass cap culminating in a lion's head, with recessed screw button. Slight looseness to the mounts, signs of use and age. Scabbard missing. Uncommon.
