Me-no-shita-men type, with iron frame. Exterior surface in matt black lacquer (small missing parts in the finish). Noble expression. Complete with removable nose-piece. Mouth with moustache in antique boar bristle (missing parts), red lacquered lips and traces of gold finish on the teeth. Odayori-no-ita and Orikugi on the cheeks. Ears with six circular piercings arranged in a rosette pattern. Asenagashi-no-ana under the chin. Interior in red lacquer. Yodarekake with five iron blades, also with black finish and traces of gilding on the edge, Itamono-kozane (uncut plates). Blac-laquered on the back (small missing parts in the finish). Brown Sugake-style lacing.
