Europa
length gun only 122,7 cm.
English-style rifle (based on the P53 model). Round barrel with slight traces of rifling inside, with foresight and a adjustable rear sight. Several areas of pitting. Caliber 14.9 mm at the nozzle (.58?). On the last section a socket bayonet is mounted, provided with a safety stud preventing its removal from the barrel. The bayonet features a folding blade and a retaining ring: by sliding the ferrule forward and rotating the bayonet into the extended position, it is then possible to fit the ring onto the muzzle, thus securing the blade in the ready position. When the bayonet is folded back again along the (left) side of the arm, a dedicated recess, formed in a barrel band, serves to retain the tip in the folded position. Long wooden stock (damage and restoration). Iron mounts with no visible marks. Ramrod. Defects, pitting, signs of wear and age. Condition: fair to mediocre. Bayonet blade 50.5 cm. Probably an experimental model.
