Beautifully crafted helmet from the Republic era; nickel silver (possibly silver) skull, gilded brass mounts; well-made crest with relief work, olive branch with trophy, front frieze with eagle wearing a turreted crown; leather lining painted in gold and decorated with scale pattern, rosettes with stars; tricolor fabric cockade on the left side. The interior features light brown leather segments and a blue silk cap.
