Straight single-and false-edged blade with central fuller, engraved along almost its entire length with the inscription “Andenken während meiner Lehrzeit” on one side and “29. M. 97 – Feb. 29. Sept. 1900” on the other, both within floral motifs. Ricasso marked “SOLINGEN”. Iron hilt with shell-shaped guard and stag-horn grip. Leather scabbard with iron mounts and an additional small knife with stag-horn handle. Interesting memento from a forester's apprenticeship.
