Information

India
length 113 cm.
Straight, single-and-false-edged blade, with central fuller and dorsal groove, featuring traces of dot engravings on the forte. Beautiful iron hilt with two wings holding the blade (one with a crack), fixed by rivets; the two side wings are decorated with a faded red semi-precious stone. The large rain guard with two valves and the guard, as well as the other elements of the hilt, are finely gold-inlaid with a dense pattern of flowers and racemes; in particular, the guard features a scene with a tiger and an elephant. The gold decoration is well preserved in all its parts. The grip and the interior of the hilt are lined with red velvet, with slight signs of time. The domed pommel, provided with a typical curved grip, is also gold-inlaid.
