Wide, straight, double-edged blade with a slight central fuller; at the base a “GB” mark over a double-headed eagle. Solid brass hilt decorated with floral motifs in low relief. Cannot be mounted on a rifle. Leather scabbard with brass mounts; cap with heart-shaped button, chape with a decorated round knuckle guard. Also used by the Lombard Civic Guard.
