Hemispherical iron helmet, surmounted by a square-section spike with knop and base shaped as a truncated cone. The front with sliding nasal-bar, its ends engraved with cartouches decorated in gold; on the sides two plume holders. The surface of the helmet decorated with four engraved cartouches depicting mounted archers, partially gilt, on a floral ground and framed by triple gilt borders; below, three cartouches depicting woodland animals. The spaces between them engraved with floral motifs on a dark ground. The lower band with large and small cartouches bearing Qur'anic verses damascened in silver. Complete with an iron mail neck defence of small rings with simple fastening, decorated at the centre with bands of brass rings and with a fringed lower edge.
