Broad double-edged blade with converging edges (showing ancient signs of use), nearly lenticular at the base, then of lozenge-shaped section. Iron hilt with typical double quillons curving toward the blade, featuring several decorative notches on the obverse. On the same side, an iron protective plate supported by a flat-section ring with a surface decorated with transverse lines; a second, smaller-diameter ring reinforces the convex side of the plate. Grip with armguard, probably of early manufacture, of iron wire with Moor's heads, all showing traces of pitch or bituminous varnish. Faceted olive-shaped pommel with button. Slight play in the sword elements. Signs of age and small pitting; partial remains of old brown patina.
