length 106 cm.
Smoothbore, two-stag, browned, 14 mm cal barrel, the first segment with outline and then round, small frames at the girdle; small frame at the breech and rear sight at the nozzle. The chamber is signed in block letters ‘LAZARINO COMINAZZO’ (see Nolfo di Carpegna, ‘Brescian Firearms’, Rome 1997, p. 254). Smooth wheel plate with flower carving at the tang; the wheel cover, the hammer spring and the hammer with beautiful phytomorphic carvings; sliding pan cover, the hammer jaws hold an old pyrite in place; inside, the round mark of Antonio Riva (as above, see ‘Brescian firearms’ on p. 94). Full dark walnut stock with ham-shaped butt and fluted barrel (one small missing part and a small antique restoration). Iron mounts with openwork; the stock, trigger guard and ramrod holder chiselled in bas-relief with scrolls, animals and phytomorphic motifs. On the opposite side of the plate is the angled iron strap loop. Wooden ramrod with iron cartridge extractor.
