Shinogi-zukuri blade, Iori-mune (Nagasa 45.8 cm) with slight traces of hamon and hada. Some Kizu, including a large dent on the edge. Nakago with a Mekugi-ana. Mei (characters repainted in white). Habaki in two elements, one in copper covered with silver foil, one in gilded metal. Composite Koshirae, partly nineteenth-century and probably supplemented with later elements (twentieth century). Maru Gata Tsuba in iron with openwork decoration featuring cranes and sea foam. Fuchi in irogane with gold flowers in relief. Simple smooth lacquered kashira, non-metallic. Tsuka-ito in brown-green fabric. Tsuka with Samè in stingray leather. Menuki in irogane depicting insects and fruit, with oxidation. Saya in mottled brown lacquer. Signed Kogatana, Kozuka with mantis in relief and other insects.
