Long, straight blade of diamond-shaped cross-section, grooved in the centre at the first part, tang with a wider groove; iron hilt with two large oval valves pierced with stars, S-shaped quillon enlarged at the ends, loop guard with curl and diamond-shaped centre, beautiful faceted pommel; wooden grip covered with copper wire binding and Moor's heads, probably of a later period.
