length 86,5 cm.
Slightly curved, single-and-a-half-edged blade, with thickened back, engraved on the right side with the Austrian imperial eagle and on the left side with the crowned anchor; on the tang: “JULIUS VOOS GARANTIE SOLINGEN.” Beautiful nickel finishing still present at about 80-90% with some stains due to pitting. Beautiful bronze hilt in typical Austrian style, with a large guard richly decorated in relief and openwork on the back, with the imperial eagle surmounted by mermaids holding an anchor, with corals and other nautical and maritime decorations. Short parry quillon with a dolphin head. Long cap with the face of Neptune and a trident in relief. Beautiful gilding preserved at about 70%. Handle with fish-skin covering and with brass wire binding. With its leather scabbard and mounts with relief decorations featuring remains of gilding. A fixed lug and a loop. Together with a sword-knot with obvious signs of use and age; the tassel with Austrian eagle and monogram “FJI.” The sword is in good/very good condition, with small signs of time.
