Information
height total circa 75 cm.
Finely tailored jacket in French-grey cloth, with collar and cuffs faced in bright red wool. The chest features a striking series of multiple wavy froggings, executed—like all other embroidery—in thick silver thread. Large silver-embroidered decorations also adorn the sleeves and back. Silver-colored metal buttons, marked with the regimental number “6” and the inscriptions “LASWAREE” and “BHURTPORE” (likely honors for the Battles of Laswari, 1803, and the Siege of Bharatpur, 1805). Partially padded interior, lined in white silk (some damage and small losses) and black silk at the collar, which also has a leather reinforcement band. Fabrics in fair condition, with some moth holes, especially on the back. The silver lace shows age and use but remains generally well preserved. Nearly all buttons present (perhaps 1–2 missing). A lacket of great visual impact and charm — difficult to find on the market.
