Sturdy, straight, double-edged blade of lozenge section, etched on a gilded background with a phytomorphic vine-shoot motif on slightly more than a half of its length; the thick gilded tang decorated en suite with a blade and a slightly visible fuller on the main surface faces, the two side faces, on the other hand, featuring the signature "Devisme / a Paris" in Gothic numbers. Fine mercury-gilt bronze hilt, quillon with counter-curved quillons embellished with a ribbon-like decoration; the rectangular centre of crossguard engraved with floral motifs on one side; parry ring with border carved en suite in bas-relief. Elliptical pommel with upturned cup-shaped base, in the central part, on one side Savoy cross, on the other the monogram of Carlo Alberto "CA", both in silver; the surface with curls in bas-relief, spherical button with longitudinal carvings and small oblique fullers. Grip finely covered with fine silver wire with Moor's heads. Scabbard coated with burgundy-coloured velvet, provided with gilded bronze mounts, decorated with a phytomorphic vine-shoot motif in relief; loop at the back. Of excellent workmanship.
