Information
Replica of the license plate from Fonzie's iconic motorcycle from the TV show "Happy Days," autographed by Henry Winkler and certified by Beckett. Who doesn't remember Fonzie speeding by on his motorcycle with a thumbs-up gesture? More than just a means of transportation, that motorcycle became a symbol of rebellion and freedom, an unmistakable icon of the 1950s and 1970s. Fonzie's motorcycle was a 1949 Triumph TR5, customized specifically for the character by stuntman Bud Ekins. This Triumph was chosen for its agility and lightness, ideal characteristics for action scenes. The handlebars, seat, and fenders were modified to make it even more distinctive and suited to the character of Fonzie. Initially, a more imposing Harley Davidson Knucklehead was chosen. However, Henry Winkler, the actor who played Fonzie, had difficulty driving, so much so that he injured the director of photography during filming. It was therefore decided to opt for the Triumph, which was more maneuverable and suited to Winkler's abilities.
