Christopher Lloyd's sunglasses, worn as Doctor Emmett "Doc" Brown in the "Back to the Future" trilogy, have become an iconic element of the character. The oversized sunglasses with dark lenses helped define his eccentric and unconventional scientist look. This accessory, along with others like the DeLorean and the hoverboard, helped make the character of Doc Brown and the trilogy itself true pop culture icons.
