Steven Gerrard is an English former footballer and manager, born on 30 May 1980 in Whiston, England. He is widely regarded as one of the best midfielders of his generation and spent the majority of his playing career with Liverpool FC, one of England's most prestigious clubs.

Gerrard began his youth career with Liverpool and made his first-team debut in 1998. Since then, he has become an iconic figure for the club. During his long tenure at Liverpool, Gerrard helped lead the team to numerous successes, including winning the UEFA Champions League in 2005, the UEFA Cup in 2001, two FA Cups and three League Cups.

Known for his leadership on the pitch, passion and ability to score crucial goals, Gerrard was also the captain of Liverpool for many years. He represented the England national team in several international competitions, appearing at several editions of the World Cup and the European Championship.
