Hakan Çalhanoğlu (Mannheim, 8 February 1994) is a Turkish footballer with German citizenship, midfielder for Inter and the Turkish national team, of which he is captain. After starting out with Karlsruhe and Hamburg, in 2014 he was purchased by Bayer Leverkusen. In the summer of 2017 he moved to Milan, where he remained for four seasons. In 2021 he moved to fellow citizens Inter, with whom he won two Italian Cups (2021-2022 and 2022-2023) and two Italian Super Cups (2021 and 2022), also reaching a UEFA Champions League final (2022-2023). With the Turkish national team he participated in two editions of the European championship (2016 and 2020).
