Giuseppe Bergomi, known as Beppe (Settala, 22 December 1963), is an Italian footballer, a defender, world champion with the Italian national team in 1982. Considered one of the best defenders of his generation, during his professional career he has always played at Inter, the team of which he was captain from 1992 to 1999: with the Nerazzurri he won an Italian Cup (1981-1982), a Serie A championship (1988-1989), an Italian Super Cup (1989) and three UEFA Cups ( 1990-1991, 1993-1994 and 1997-1998).
