To commemorate the anniversary, a special expansion called “Expansion Pack 20th Anniversary” (CP6), often referred to in collectors’ parlance as Concept Pack 2016, was released in Japan. This set includes modern reimaginings and recreations of classic Base Set cards, along with new EX and Turbo cards, all related to Generation I Pokémon. It is a Japanese-only product and is now highly sought after by collectors both for its historical value and the popularity of the cards included.
