When addressing the theme of the nude, Mario Giacomelli works with the same spirit that inspires him when facing a landscape: he avoids reproducing it in a predictably realistic way, seeks unusual perspectives, makes highly personal cropping choices, and achieves results that are both surprising and poetic. In the two photographs presented here, the skillful use of blurring and the layering of planes reaches an expressive level of great elegance.Contact
