Talvolta i ritratti ambientati compaiono nei reportage ed Alfredo Camisa è stato in questo campo un vero maestro. Grande conoscitore del Sud dove era stato a lungo per ragioni di lavoro, quello di chimico che lo indusse ad abbandonare l’idea di diventare fotografo professionista, lo ha interpretato con quello stile asciutto e intenso che caratterizzava il gruppo di fotografi che facevano parte di quella grande scuola che è stata “Il Mondo” di Panunzio.
