Original illustration made by Czech master Burian, first published in the volume "Animals of Prehistory" in the Look and Discover Animals series, vol. 16 on page 61, published by AMZ in 1971. Trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, Burian began his career as a prehistoric illustrator in the early 1930s. However, it was after meeting paleontologist Josef Augusta in 1935, whose publications he illustrated, that he quickly became one of the most highly regarded paleoartists in the world. So much so that in 2017, he was honored with naming a new dinosaur specimen discovered in the Czech Republic, the Burianosaurus, after himself. Pinholes in the corners, slight traces of humidity, and slight creases.
