Original cover made by Eisner for "Comic Shop News Collector's Guide" n. 1, published by Paragraphics in 1988. A few months later, the work was featured on the back cover of "The Spirit" n. 49, published by Kitchen Sink Press in July 1988. The work was subsequently featured on the back cover of the Spanish volume "The Spirit: Histórias Clássicas de 1946" by Editorial Abril Jovem in 1990. In 2015, the work was selected by the Will & Ann Eisner Family Foundation to be used as a promotional image for "Will Eisner Week 2015," an annual event that celebrated the 75th anniversary of the creation of "The Spirit" in over 50 cities around the world. Among the most iconic and reproduced images of Eisner's Spirit, a museum piece. Signed and dated.
