Published in strip format in American newspapers from 1951 to 1968, the strip was illustrated by Argentinean artist José Luis Salinas, who became known to a wide international audience with this comic. The protagonist of the stories is Cisco Kid, a skilled Mexican gunslinger whose name sows panic among criminals; intelligent and extremely composed in any situation, he is almost always accompanied by his sidekick, the inseparable Pancho.
