Original comic art made by Lopez for the second part of his masterpiece "The Eternaut," first published in Argentina by Skorpio (Edictiones Record) in 1976 and later in Italy by Lanciostory in 1978. Page 11 (episode V) of the saga made by Héctor Oesterheld, which has become one of the cornerstones of modern comics. A metaphor and tragic foreshadower of the Argentine political situation that would soon lead to dictatorship, The Eternaut has become a symbol of civil revolt and intellectual independence, which cost its author his life when, in April 1977, Oesterheld was taken by a Death Squad, thus joining the large number of Argentine desaparecidos.
