Original comic art made by Magnus for the final half-page of the story "The Cunning Ass", the twenty-second chapter of the gentle Maxmagnus saga, first published in Eureka n. 26 in December 1969. Among the rarest and most sought-after works by the Bolognese master, Maxmagnus is the king of a country in an unreal Middle Ages, with a good-natured and ruddy appearance, but in reality authoritarian with his beggared and hungry subjects... but the true protagonist of the story is the Trustee, always ready for deception and scheming.
