Original drawing made by Porter to promote the Disney short "Donald's Nephews," directed by Jack King, which marked the triplets' first appearance in Disney animation and was released on April 15, 1938. The work was inspired by their debut in the comic strip, which took place on October 17, 1937, by Ted Osborne and Al Taliaferro. The drawing depicts one of their most dangerous pranks, lighting a firecracker under Donald Duck's chair, and is the same prank depicted on the short's theatrical poster. The final ink version of the illustration was also recently used as the image for the card dedicated to the short in the 2003 "Disney Treasures" collection. Vertical fold at the center. Signed.
