Original drawing made by Pazienza to promote the publication of his "Pompeo" in a volume by Editori del Grifo, published in Comic Art magazine n. 40, page 75, in January 1988. For many, "Pompeo" is Andrea Pazienza's artistic testament, not only because it recounts the protagonist's descent into the hell of heroin with a lucid and cold approach, but also because of the constant references and allusions to his life and previous works that Pazienza peppers throughout the pages. In this case, the overlap between artist and character is not merely suggested or sublimated: Pompeo is Andrea Pazienza, and his story is that of the artist. The author himself said he put "his guts on the table." All the pages of this masterpiece are held by Pazienza's heirs, making this the only opportunity to find a work directly related to "Pompeo" on the market. Light creases at the top edge and slight traces of foxing at the right edge. Signed.
