Original illustration made by Edoardo and Fortunino Matania (father and son) for the famous volume "The Life and the Kingdom of Vittorio Emanuele II of Savoy, First King of Italy" published by Treves in 1901. The entire corpus of drawings created for this volume was the subject of a dedicated exhibition, held from 16 February 1901 at the Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Moderna in Rome. Posting holes and small missing parts in the margins.
