Information
pencil, ink and acrylics on thin cardboard
30 x 38 cm
Original comic art made by Jacovitti for "Gamba di Quaglia", page 16 published in GdR in 1960. Jacovitti's extraordinary humor and irreverence are expressed at their best with his famous pirate Gamba di Quaglia, a seafarer who, having lost a leg while clumsily slicing salami, saw it replaced by the original ship's surgeon with a - indeed - quail's leg. Signed with a fishbone and dated.
