Original comic art created by Kirby for "THEM!", published in Tales of Suspense n. 78 on page 10 by Marvel in 1966. In this story co-written by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, a fundamental episode in the Captain America storyline takes place, after their last meeting during the Second World War (Sgt. Fury and his Howling Commandos n 13, 1964) Cap and Nick Fury fight side by side again to face the criminal organization known as "THEM". In this final page of the story, Captain America explains that he had been trying to contact Fury to join SHIELD for some time, but decides not to renew his offer because he has now made a commitment to the Avengers; Fury, however, leaves Captain America with a SHIELD Priority A-1 badge in case he ever needs SHIELD's help on a future mission, thus beginning what is perhaps Marvel's most celebrated saga. Ink by Frank Giacoia. Slight crease at the lower left corner.
