Original cel on a painted backdrop created by Studio Deen for the promotion of the animated series "Maison Ikkoku (Dear Sweet Kyoko)" which aired from 1986 to 1988. A very rare hanken cel, i.e. cels created for advertising purposes such as posters or covers for domestic media. Maison Ikkoku is an adaptation of the manga by the prolific Rumiko Takahashi (Ranma 1/2, Urusei Yatsura, Inuyasha), which stands out from her more fantastic works by telling a down-to-earth story. Presence of two staples in the upper corners of the cel, fracture in the upper left corner of the cel.
