Information
pencil, ink and watercolor on thin cardboard
46,5 x 40 cm
Sunday comic strip from 10/29/1939 for "Katzenjammer Kids". Of great rarity are the sunday publications by Knerr, who officially replaced his colleague Dirks in 1914, forcing the latter to continue publishing the series in the New York World, changing the title to The Captain and the Kids. Knerr personally colored very few Sundays in his career, probably the ones he was most fond of. Pin holes at the top edge. Signed, dated and dedicated.
