Il dipinto offerto nel lotto, di notevole impatto visivo, raffigura l'episodio, narrato nell'Iliade, che scatenò la guerra di Troia. La bellissima Elena, moglie di Menelao, re di Sparta, venne rapita da Paride, principe troiano, che ne fece la sua sposa. Sullo sfondo sono raffigurate, infatti, le navi che, pronte e salpare, condurranno la sventurata eroina a Ilio.
