La bellissima Elena, moglie di Menelao, re di Sparta, venne rapita da Paride, principe troiano, che ne fece la sua sposa. Sullo sfondo sono raffigurate, infatti, le navi che, pronte e salpare, condurranno la sventurata eroina a Ilio.
